“Stratton!” Captain cried as the man shook again. He kneeled down next to the pained man and attempted to place a hand upon his head to gauge whether a fever had overcome him. “What is happening? Who did this?” Stratton seemed unable to speak, only to gesture at the woods. As he shook again, the Captain noticed the blood gathering on the ground beneath his head. “Stratton! Time is of the essence, you must tell me if you saw who did this to you!” Sidewinder implored. “Mildred…” Stratton gasped as the doctor quickly made his way to the duo. As the doctor took over, Sidewinder knew he had to follow whoever did this into the woods. He bid a brief farewell to the doctor, but he was far too busy with his patient. As Sidewinder neared the woods, he noticed something caught in a low-hanging branch. His Mildred’s favorite wrap. But whatever could Mildred have been doing in the woods, so far away from home? Was Stratton telling the truth, not merely hallucinating? Tags: participatory media class
